Kuusi koristeltu, koti jotenkuten siivottu, lahjat hankittu, kaikki muu vielä tekemättä. Mutta hei, tässähän on vielä päivä aikaa :) Tänä vuonna ensimmäistä kertaa vuosiin vietämme joulua ihan kotosalla. Senpä takia ehkä onkin tehnyt mieli laitella kotia vähän jouluiseksi, kun kerrankin olemme siitä nauttimassa.
Askartelimme lasten kanssa yllä olevia omenoita ja kuusia joulukoristeiksi (korjaus: oli tarkoitus askarrella yhdessä, mutta minullehan se homma jäi kun ensi-innostuksen jälkeen pitikin jo lähteä kavereiden kanssa leikkimään...). Leikkasin omenoiden ja kuusien isoimmat osat kartongista, keskikokoiset hohtopaperista ja pienimmät paperisista serveteistä. Sitten vain liimasin osat päällekkäin. Serveteistä tuli ihan hauskat kuosit koristeisiin ja samalla pääsin eroon kaapissa lojuvista sekalaisista jämistä.

This year for the first time in years, we are spending Christmas at home. Maybe that's why I wanted to decorate our house more than usual, since we would be able to enjoy it. There's no sign of snow and looks like we won't be having a white Christmas this year, so let's hope the Christmas spirit comes from other things... Like these decorations that I made with children. Well, the plan was to make these together, but after the first enthusiasm (that lasted as long as ten minutes) was gone, off they went with their friends leaving me with my crafts. Well actually it was nice, I had a glass of mulled wine and listened to Christmas carols from the radio. The biggest and middle parts of the apples and spruces are cut from paperboard, smallest from paper napkins. I like the patterns and it was a great way to get rid of my miscellaneous paper napkin collection...
